The number of jobs advertised across Australia in the 12-months to the end of October declined by 7.8%, but in better news for employees salaries grew across every state and territory, apart from the Northern Territory.
Online job advertisements listed by SEEK fell by 7.4% year-on-year in September, the company says, adding that this represented a smaller drop than August which saw a decrease of 8.6%.
