Public hearing into second tranche of cyber laws

The Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security (PJCIS) has today begun hearing evidence from critical industries and government agencies on proposed new laws to protect Australia’s infrastructure from sophisticated cyber attacks.

Macquarie Telecom welcomes publication of Security Legislation Amendment (Critical Infrastructure) Bill

The Critical Infrastructure Bill, introduced by the Minister for Home Affairs, Peter Dutton MP, will recognise telecommunications and data centres as critical national infrastructure for the first time.
