The Australian Parliament's Joint Standing Committee into the NBN has recommended that the government update the modelling of its proposed regional broadband levy, in order to reflect the cost increases since the original modelling in 2015.
A week ahead of announcing its first-quarter results for fiscal 2019-20, the NBN Co has announced new plans for its wholesale satellite customers which will not count data used for email, Web browsing and critical software updates towards monthly data allowances.
While 4K content has arrived or can be captured in sufficient quantity for Foxtel to launch a dedicated channel, the network is either betting that enough of the Asian part of its customer base simply isn't superstitious, or the Pay TV titan just isn't worried about it.
