The Cape Tribulation region of north eastern Queensland now has “better than ever” mobile phone coverage following the installation of a new tower in the area by Optus as part of its mobile blackspot program.
Australia’s peak body for the tech industry, the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) has been awarded a $250,000 grant from the Queensland Government to partner with the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) to deliver critical skills around innovation in IT and cyber security in the State.
Queensland is set to strengthen its position in the cyber security sector, with three new Cyber Security Innovation Nodes to be established across the state.
