Newsflash: Higgs Boson likely found (updated)

Preliminary data from the ATLAS experiment at CERN suggests the Higgs Boson has been identified.

Based on a leaked note, rumours are flying that the ATLAS detector at the LHC has detected the Higgs Boson.  Experts are sceptical.

Dark matter experiment readied for Space Station

The Alpha Magnetic Spectrometer is beginning its trip to the International Space Station. Starting from CERN, in Switzerland, it will proceed to ESTEC, in the Netherlands, before eventually heading to the NASA Kennedy Space Center in Florida, for its trip into space via the space shuttle and STS-134.
