The Asia Pacific region suffered a decline of 6.3% in PC shipments in the second quarter this year as worldwide shipments of PCs also declined for the seventh consecutive quarter, despite showing signs of improvement, according to global analyst firm Gartner.
Worldwide PC shipments have declined for six consecutive quarters, with shipment volumes of 64.8 million in the first quarter this year the lowest since 2007. Amidst the gloom and doom - and despite a 7.2% decline in its shipments - China vendor Lenovo still maintained number one position globally.
