Conroy congratulates Police child porn crackdown

Australia’s Minister for Communications, Senator Stephen Conroy, has issued his congratulations to the Australian Federal Police over a major crackdown on the insidious crime of Internet child abuse imagery.

BitTorrent, the company that maintains the peer-to-peer Internet file sharing protocol of the same name, has partnered with Israel based caching solutions provider Oversi, to deliver an integrated P2P solution for ISPs. The companies claim the solution will deliver reduced bandwidth costs, deferred infrastructure investments and a higher quality subscriber experience.

Joost on iPhone doesn't work in Australia

Joost, the video player that delivers video over peer-to-peer (P2P) technology has moved from a separate desktop player, to a browser plug-in, and has now landed on the iPhone – but in Australia, not a single video will play!
