ICT jobs: The bottom is in, the bounce is real

The ICT sector job market has hit bottom and is enjoying the bounce, with surprisingly strong growth in employment advertisements during July of more than 8 per cent, according to the Olivier Job Index.

The technology permanent jobs sector continued its decline in May, but a rally in contracting positions indicates there are signs that the worst is over, the decline is slowing, and that IT&T jobs on offer are on the rise, according to a new report.

Technology sector escapes worst of jobs slide

Online job ads for the technology sector held up well against other business and industry sectors in February, according to the latest Olivier Job Index which showed a fall of 1.43% in online ads in IT&T compared to a fall of 9% across all other sectors.
