COMMENT With a fair amount of media coverage in recent times focusing on the future use — or non-use — of electric vehicles in Australia, I thought it might be a good idea to provide a perspective from an actual user.
The Australian Government has funded the Australian Renewable Energy Agency to the tune of $2.4 million to run a vehicle-to-grid trial in Canberra, using 51 Nissan Leaf electric vehicles.
If the ongoing bushfire crisis has taught Australians one thing, it is that the use of petrol and diesel vehicles will have to be minimised in the future in order to avoid pumping more carbon into the atmosphere and making the problem worse.
