Chinese telecommunications giant ZTE has rolled out its third-generation 5G Indoor CPE MC8020 at Mobile World Congress 2021.

Content delivery network Akamai has been working with game publishers during the COVID-19 lockdown to manage downloads of patches issued by the latter, files which often run to tens of gigabytes, in order to ensure that the load on the Internet is kept to the minimum, officials from the company say.

Congestion, and outages across the national broadband network have remained at low levels, with no material increase compared to previous months due to increased usage across the network during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to NBN Co chief executive Stephen Rue.

NBN Co to issue monthly progress reports

NBN Co, the company rolling out Australia's national broadband network, has announced it will publish a monthly progress report from now on to track any improvements in services which it delivers on its network.
