Australia’s competition regulator the ACCC says it has given price certainty for legacy wholesale telecommunications services with its decision to maintain existing price and non-price terms until 30 June 2024 for seven declared, or regulated, fixed line services.
This week, Bill Morrow, the chief executive of NBN Co, the company rolling out Australia's national broadband network, did something he's never done before: he made a statement that ruffled the feathers of his masters in Canberra.
NBN Co says 2017 will be the biggest year for the National Broadband Network, with almost 50% of the network rollout completed by the end of June. But, it won't be all plain sailing, with the company flagging some disruption as the rollout expands to high density metro areas for the first time.
