Four-year warranty of Philips monitors

Philips has extended the warranty on its business monitors to four years - but only on those sold in Australia.

The overall Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) PC monitor market achieved 551,000 unit shipments, a plunge of 10% sequentially and 14% year-on-year in Q4 2011. This was the softest quarter ever to end the year according to IDC's Quarterly PC Monitor tracker (Q4 2011).

Dell retains lead in monitor market

Dell has retained its lead in the Australian and New Zealand monitor market with a 22 percent market share just ahead of Acer and HP, as the market recorded double digit growth sequentially in the second quarter of this year with shipments of 744,000 for the three months.
