New Zealand telco Spark has released new roaming data packs for 16 countries in response to what it claims is a ”phenomenal increase” in the amount of mobile data used by its customers travelling overseas.
Wi-Fi networks will carry almost 60% of smartphone and tablet data traffic by 2019, reaching 115,000 petabytes – a projected four-fold increase compared to under 30,000 PB this year.
