Australia’s Human Rights Law Centre has called for greater transparency to be given to the Federal Government’s recently launched Coronavirus Australia app.
The Federal Government appears likely to bring its encryption bill up for debate in the lower house on Wednesday, just a day after the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Intelligence and Security holds its final hearing on the draft legislation.
A survey of 4039 Australians has found that nearly 85% of them are deeply worried by the Federal Government's proposed encryption bill, which was introduced in Parliament by Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton on 20 September.
