ZFS? Simple, don't use it, says Linus Torvalds

The merging of the ZFS filesystem into the Linux kernel codebase in the near future appears to be unlikely, after Linux creator Linus Torvalds said he would not merge the filesystem until he was assured that the owner, Oracle, would not sue.

Oracle co-CEO Mark Hurd passes away, age 62

Hurd was co-CEO of the global enterprise software company, and the announced successor to Larry Ellison, 75. Hurd's passing follows his absence from Oracle OpenWorld last month for health reasons.
