Global spending on IT is trending down, with the technology analyst firm IDC says it now expects a drop of 5.1% to US$2.25 trillion due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The COVID-19 pandemic is driving digital transformation for enterprises in the Southeast Asia region (ASEAN) and will open up wider opportunities for carriers and service providers, according to a new report.
Analysts from global market intelligence provider IDC see a big showdown in spending on technology in 2020 across European ICT markets, with a halving of their own December 2019 forecast from 2.8% to 1.4% in regional spending growth rates. This comes in the wake of the measures taken across Europe to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
