HP has reported reduced earnings and profit in the third quarter of its fiscal year on Wednesday but it exceeded analysts' expectations for the period.
Today is the day that the original Silicon Valley tech pioneer Hewlett-Packard has split itself into two smaller but still gigantic companies - both brandishing the iconic HP moniker.
