Processor manufacturer Broadcom appears set to buy security firm Symantec in what looks to be a bid to increase the range of its business.
Symantec president and chief executive Greg Clark has suddenly left his post before a permanent replacement was in place, with the company naming director Richard Hill as a temporary fill-in. Clark was the fifth top executive to quit in the last six months.
American security firm Symantec has acquired Israel-based Luminate Security for an unspecified amount, in order to increase its prowess in cloud security.
