IT spending by governments around the globe will rise to US$483 billion (A$607 billion) this year, an increase of 5.1% over 2020, the technology analyst company Gartner has forecast.
Apple has overtaken Samsung in global smartphone sales to end users during a quarter for the first time since 2016, the technology research firm Gartner says, adding that total global smartphone sales fell 5.4% for the fourth quarter of 2020 and 12.5% for the whole year.
Apple was the leading buyer of semiconductor chips in 2020, being responsible for 11.9% of the global market, the technology analyst firm Gartner says, adding that these figures are preliminary.
