A lone 20-year-old attacker hacked into the ride-sharing firm Uber last year and was paid by the company to destroy the data through a bug-bounty programme. The hack exposed the data of 57 million users globally, plus the details of seven million Uber drivers.

Motorola veteran Berriz to join NetComm Wireless

Communications firm NetComm Wireless has appointed Sergio Berriz to the newly created post of senior vice-president engineering.

Windows users in Florida and Haifa, Israel, have filed two separate lawsuits against Microsoft in connection with the company's push to make users upgrade to Windows 10.
