The iconic Ionic, Fitbit’s new smartwatch, is the company’s play and foray into conquering the smartwatch world, as it has done with wearables in general – can it step up?
Looking a bit like a very upgraded Blaze, Fitbit’s previous “almost” smartwatch, the Ionic promises “multi-day battery life”, apps, workouts, personalised guidance, contactless payments, music and plenty more.
Fitbit Ionic is the company’s first “true” smartwatch, and in its attempt to mimic some of the features of existing smartwatches, contactless payments and “Fitbit Pay” is on that list, with Mastercard tapping and going.
