Chinese telecommunications equipment vendor Huawei Technologies says it will end its role as a major sponsor of the NRL team Canberra Raiders after this season.
Chinese vendor Huawei Technologies has launched a new ICT platform at the recently opened Huawei Raiders Training Centre – home of National Rugby League (NRL) club, the Canberra Raiders.
Huawei Australia has boosted its sponsorship of rugby team the Canberra Raiders, becoming the naming rights sponsor for the Huawei Raiders Centre in the ACT, with the announcement coming just two days after the company revealed a restructure of its Australian operation and the shedding of about 500 jobs.
Huawei Australia is partnering with NRL club Canberra Raiders and Deaf Australia – the deaf-led peak organisation representing deaf people in Australia – to attempt to break a World Record at the Raiders vs Manly Sea Eagles National Rugby League (NRL) game this coming Sunday (25 August) in Canberra.
