In what seems to be a rather strange reversal of roles, the Labor Government in Victoria has announced a tax on electric cars and hybrid plug-in vehicles from July 2021 while a Federal Liberal MP, Trent Zimmerman, has penned an op-ed castigating both Victoria and South Australia for their plans to tax EVs.
Nine days ago, the Victorian Government announced that it would be providing $200,000 for a program to help Microsoft train more people in the use of its software. It came, ironically, just a day after regional Victorian hospitals were hit by ransomware – something that, by far, only attacks Microsoft's Windows operating system.
Victorian regional health service Barwon Health is one among numerous entities in the state's health network to be hit by a ransomware attack. Details are expected to be announced later today by the state's Premier, Daniel Andrews.
