Govt begins trial of myGovID digital identity system

The government has kicked off a pilot of its myGovID identity solution on the last day of October, with the trial open to people who have iPhones at the outset as a private, beta app is available for this operating system only. An Android app is expected to be issued next year and a Web interface to be provided after that.
