Outcome of 850/900MHz band spectrum auction

Two companies, Optus and Telstra, have won spectrum in the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s (ACMA) latest spectrum auction.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority has ordered Telstra to carry out an independent audit of compliance with its priority assistance obligations for customers who have life-threatening medical conditions.

Telemarketing company Lead My Way has fallen foul of the Do Not Call rules governing unsolicited telemarketing calls, paying a penalty of $285,600 for an infringement following an investigation by the Australian Communications and Media Authority.
