There was a sharp increase in number of technology jobs created in IT, media and telecommunications in the three months from May to the end of July, with recruitment firm Robert Half seeing the “uptick” as a sign that employers are investing in workforce talent and that the demand for specialist roles will continue to the end of this year.
A new crop of emerging technology is poised to unleash another cycle of “raised consumer expectations, changing behaviours, and disruption”, according to a new report by research firm Forrester.
Despite becoming increasingly more integral to the strategic side of businesses, many Australian chief information officers are concerned their lack of visibility in their organisations are hampering their ability to take on the role of a “strategic business partner” as IT becomes more important.
