Bungie has release statistics for the first month of Destiny play.  In particular Bungie say that as far as the online experience is concerned Destiny eclipses Halo 3 and Halo: Reach combined.

Ka-ching! Halo: Reach has $200 million first day

Halo: Reach has continued the blockbuster run of the Xbox 360 exclusive franchise, busting revenue records for 2010 entertainment releases along the way.  Halo: Reach has a long way to go to knock Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 off its perch, but for a single platform release, you wouldn't sneeze at US$200 million.
