The Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung is working on a HomePod and Echo-like, Bixby-powered smart speaker, but the Korea Herald puzzlingly says Samsung needs more data to Bixby’s, presumably to cure deafness.
The English version of Bixby, Samsung's much-touted voice-activated virtual assistant, is not going to be available in the US until late June, more than two months after the Galaxy S8 smartphone launched.
Although Bixby is due to launch sometime this month in the US, and later this year in Australia, South Korea S8 and S8+ owners can now get the Bixby update.
