More minutes of AFL matches have been streamed than ever before according to Telstra which has revealed that 403 million minutes of football was streamed in the regular season 2019 - up 10% on last year.
Fans at Saturday’s AFL grand final generated a massive 2.3 terabytes of traffic on the Telstra mobile network using their mobile phones and other devices to stream video, browse the Internet, upload photos to social media and receive and make telephone calls.
Aussie Rules football club Carlton has taken a shareholding in New Zealand-based IT and cloud solutions company Fronde as part of a strategic partnership that will deliver digital technology solutions to extend the club’s relationship with its growing fan base.
