Online shopping activities have increased since the COVID-19 crisis began, with a groundswell of support from consumers wanting to “buy local”, according to a new study by National Broadband Network operators NBN Co.
The COVID-19 pandemic is causing severe disruption to Australian small businesses, with many businesses “doing it tough”, according to Rod Sims, the Chair of the competition regulator the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
Many of Australia’s small businesses have not fully realised their potential because they lack the skills, time or resources to invest in digital technology - or because they lack knowledge of the opportunities that technologies provide.
