First URLs for Melbourne’s domain name

Melbourne is only the third city in the world - after London and New York – to get its own top level domain name.

The first of the new top-level domains to go live could be شبكة. (.shabaka, roughly equivalent to .web), which is to be powered by Melbourne-based ARI Registry Services.

iiNet seeks a domain of its own
