Telstra sports new changes to its Foxtel on T-Box

Telstra today announced a slew of changes to its Foxtel on T-Box service, including adding Fox Sports 1, 2 and 3 to the Sport package.

The changes come fresh off Foxtel’s own announcement that it will be offering a ‘Foxtel Play’ subscription, an entirely separate online-only service to its traditional set top box packages.

Telstra said these channel changes "represent a significant improvement in live sports content for Foxtel on T-Box customers."

They are as follows:

·         FOX SPORTS 1, 2, and 3 channels will be added to the Sport package. Live NRL matches are expected to be made available on these channels.
·         FOOTY PLAY and FOOTY PLAY+ (overflow channel) will move from the FOX SPORTS AFL Package to the Sport Package.
·         FOX SPORTS AFL Package will be removed from sale. All existing customers will be unsubscribed. As FOX SPORTS AFL customers are required to have the Sports package, this will not have any negative impact to existing customers.
·         SPORTS PLAY will be removed. This channel was a substitute for FOX SPORTS.
·         Existing customers who have Sports and FOX SPORTS AFL Packages will now save $5 per month and get additional Fox Sports 1, 2 & 3 and SPEED channels.
·         SPEED, a dedicated 24x7 motorsports channel, will be added in April (date TBD).

Full info on the packages and pricing of Foxtel on T-Box can be found here, but at the time of writing the site hasn't been updated to reflect the new changes.
