As part of MSFW’s Emerging Designer Runway showcasing collections from RMIT student designers on Sunday 31st August, one of the models will use an OPPO Smartphone to broadcast live, giving aspiring models and fashion fans a unique model’s-eye-view experience.
RMIT University Head of School of Fashion and Textiles, Professor Robyn Healy, welcomed new technology on the catwalk.
“Testing this new technology on the runway during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week with emerging designers from RMIT’s Fashion Design Honours program emulates where the future direction of fashion is going. Leading edge technology helps shape fashion, design and textiles, which are often unveiled and seen for the first time on the catwalk,” Healy said.
The live 30-minute broadcast can be viewed at 6:30pm on Sunday 31 August through OPPO Australia's official Periscope account: @OPPOMobileAU.
