Zebra. The company bills itself as "empowering those on the front line in retail, healthcare, transportation and logistics, manufacturing and other industries to achieve a performance edge - an edge that translates to delighted customers, good patient outcomes and superior business results".
Given that Zebra is celebrating its 50th anniversary in business this year, something iTWire interviewed two more of its top executives about earlier this year as the company spoke of empowering Industry 4.0, it's clear the company knows how to talk the talk and walk the walk up and down all the corridors, warehouses, motorways, shopping malls and more business - and every zebra crossing.
Every year, the company holds its APPFORUM conferences in different parts of the world, with its Sydney event happening last month, with one more still to come in early October.
The event hosts two tracks for Thought-leadership and Development, and is billed as a conference "ideal for C-Level executives and managers, and development teams".

At this year's event in Sydney, iTWire was given the opportunity to talk to two of Zebra's top executives, Drew Ehlers, the Global Director, Portfolio Marketing, Enterprise Software for Zebra Technologies and Chip Yager, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, to learn more on the topics above, and immediately below is our video interview.
In the video, I asked Drew and Chip to briefly introduce themselves and tell us a bit about what their roles at Zebra Technologies in 2019.
We then spoke about the APPFORUM conference and the themes of the event, along with the types of types of customers and industries that attended the event.
We spoke about Zebra's range of hardware devices, mobile computers, mobile printers, customer experiences, bespoke solutions tailored to the individual business and more.
Then we ventured forth into the savanna to look t Zebra's Savanna Data Services, which enables customers to "innovate, design, and deploy custom applications".
After this, we delved into current industry thought leadership and insights on global trends including blockchain, automation & AR/VR, as well as how Zebra integrating AR capabilities into its Mobile Computers, and how that is being used by Zebra’s customers.
We took a sneak peen into future tech roadmaps, great advice both men have received in life to help them get where they are today, and their final messages to iTWire viewers and readers, and to Zebra's current and future customers and partners.
