AMD's 3rd-gen EPYC processor launching March 15 in the US or 2am AEDT March 16

The newest range of AMD's epic EPYC server processors, known for kicking Intel's butt, is launching in the US on March 15, which is a very early 2am start for Australians on March 16.

AMD is digitally launching its AMD EPYC 7003 series processors next week in what promises to be yet another launch of leading technologies to make companies happy, and Intel cry.

Obviously there aren't many details of what is launching yet, although some details will probably leak beforehand to the Ars Technica's of the world, but we'll just have to wait and see whether AMD keeps it all under wraps.

Even so, AMD has been greatly enjoying kicking Intel's butt from one side of the planet to the other with performance and pricing during these events, and I obviously don't expect things to be any different this time in that regard.

So, who will we hear from, and where can you watch the event live?

You'll be able to watch the event at this AMD page here and no doubt there'll be a replay you can watch thereafter.

During the digital event, you’ll hear from AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su, Executive VP of Technology and Engineering and CTO Mark Papermaster, Senior VP and GM, Datacenter and Embedded Solutions Business Group, Forrest Norrod, Senior VP and GM, Server Business Unit, Dan McNamara and, as per usual, appearances from industry-leading data centre partners and customers.

So, with AMD having risen like a phoenix with the launch of its Ryzen and EPYC processors over the past three years, AMD will be making customers even happier as AMD drives Intel MAD yet again!
