A statement from the NSW Department of Industry said Tan, the founder of the community-led TechLadies initiative for female programmers in Asia, would speak at public events in Sydney and Armidale to coincide with Women's Entrepreneurship Day.
"Jobs for NSW is about supporting our start-up and tech communities to grow and create the businesses and jobs of the future for our state," NSW Deputy Premier and Minister for Small Business, John Barilaro, said.
"Elisha Tan is an impressive entrepreneur with an inspiring story and passionate approach to social progress. I encourage people to come along to what will be motivating industry events."
The Armidale "Women in Tech" event will be held from 10.30am to 12.30pm on 15 November at the New England Regional Art Museum at 106-114 Kentucky St, Armidale.
The Sydney event will be held from 11am to 1pm on 16 November at the Sydney Start-up Hub at Level 1, 11-31 York Street, Sydney.
