The deal with Western Power - a Western Australian Government-owned corporation - sees Empired secure an infrastructure managed services contract, with an estimated value of $31million over the five years, to provide end user computing services to more than 3,300-plus Western Power staff and contractors - and provide 24x7 service management leveraging its service desk and national operations centres, manage all data centres and cloud operations and more than 2,000 network devices across 30 sites.
Empired has also secured a preferred master IT supply contract with a value estimated at $30million for the provision of a technology enhancement program in support of the managed services scope.
Empired says the technology enhancement program will continue to evolve core backend services to cloud and digital platforms.
