Melbourne business transformation solutions provider Signavio has secured a deal with NBN Co, the builders of the national broadband network, to deliver a business process excellence capability across the organisation.

Signavio says the project will assist NBN Co to harmonise its end-to-end operational requirements, as well as optimise its processes and improvement initiatives in line with the organisation’s overall corporate strategy.

According to Signavio, as part of the project, business teams and leaders will be equipped to take control of their processes, with collaboration with Signavio and “the attributes within its transformation suite forming a central part of NBN Co’s Process Excellence journey”.

The project is designed to support NBN Co's strategic imperatives, which include advancing effective and efficient processes and systems; as well as its corporate objective aimed at forming united relationships with vendors.

Daniel Furtwaengler, Signavio’s Asia Pacific vice-president, says “the rollout of our transformation suite assists NBN to define and execute their process initiatives; and ultimately assess the impact they’re having on business performance and efficiency. All this will feed into an enhanced user and customer experience”.

Signavio says the key business drivers helping form NBN Co’s new business process excellence initiative include:

  • Maturity: A single view of current and future state operating models; including the ability to see and improve end-to-end workflows;
  • Governance: Process owners will have simple and intuitive ways of working to approve and publish their models, all the way through to work instructions;
  • Ease of use: Non-specialist teams can easily enter, view, share and collaborate on their processes; and
  • Functionality: NBN can drive workflow and automation activities directly from the solutions suite.
