Analytics vendor SAS brings its advanced and predictive analytics to the Siemens MindSphere product, from industrial digital transformation vendor, Siemens Digital Industries Software.
The partnership sees Siemens MindSphere embedding SAS streaming analytics to meet growing demands for IoT analytics with artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
Siemens MindSphere customers work in a range of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, energy and utilities, smart cities, transportation and automotive.
The partners expect to have the solution available later this year, enabling near real-time embedded AI for IoT devices at the edge.
“SAS is a recognised world leader in advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. We are excited to leverage their analytics in MindSphere,” said Stephen Bashada, executive vice-president and general manager of Siemens MindSphere. “The combination of Siemens’ deep industrial domain knowledge with SAS’ deep analytics knowledge is a powerful step forward for IoT.”
Customers who use Siemens MindSphere will gain access to powerful SAS analytics capabilities, while those customers who already use SAS will be able to port and deploy previously developed SAS modules natively into MindSphere, enhancing their investment in both products.
“Siemens’ pedigree in innovative operational assets, software and processes are unmatched. Their commitment to digitising the world’s industries provides a unique platform for IoT to realize its full potential through AI,” said Jason Mann, vice-president of SAS’ IoT Division. “Our partnership can accelerate adopting the transformative value of IoT for our customers.”
