Enhance your audio with the Cyber Acoustics SP-2000 speakerphone and CA-2890 USB speaker bar

By

Cyber Acoustics has been producing premium audio products for a fraction of competitor prices for 25 years. In this age of telecommuting, you might find Its USB speakerphone and USB speaker bar makes all the difference in clear and effective communication.

We've all seen the mass acceleration of remote working these last two years, which in many cases saw office workers heading home to use whatever equipment they could scrounge up. While this has largely been successful, there’s no denying productivity has been lost in online conferencing experiences that suffered from poor audio. Every time someone says “can you hear me?” or “can you repeat that?” time is lost, business outcomes are delayed, and there is a tangible cost.

Here's where Cyber Acoustics comes in. This USA-based company has been operating since 1996, quietly making premium audio products for a fraction of competitor prices. Its goal is to deliver high-quality computer peripherals at prices that work for just about everyone, and especially great for working from home or in the office.

iTWire previously tested Cyber Acoustic's business-grade HS-2000 headset and found it offered comfort and clarity without fuss or expense. Of course, a headset is only one item in your audio arsenal. Sometimes you don’t want to wear a headset, or you have a specific microphone you want to use, or you have an in-person group working with a remote group and multiple people must participate in the call. Cyber Acoustics also has you covered here.

The Cyber Acoustics SP-2000 speakerphone is a plug-and-play speakerphone featuring USB and Bluetooth connectivity with a 360-degree noise-cancelling microphone. It’s perfect for connecting to your computer via USB-C (a USB-A to USB-C cable is included), then using with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Hangouts, or AWS Chime, or any of these many conferencing tools. With the speakerphone, your voice quality will improve substantially over built-in webcam microphones. You can also connect it via Bluetooth to your phone or tablet for clearer calls from those devices.

Another big plus of the speakerphone is the freedom of movement it offers you when you need to gather documents or handle something else, while on the call.

The SP-2000 speakerphone also includes responsive LEDs, as well as volume and mute buttons, and a source (USB or Bluetooth) button.

It is a convenient, clear, and highly portable unit, and definitely should make your evaluation list.

The Cyber Acoustics USB Speaker Bar CA-2890 is a compact stereo desktop speaker that offers crisp, clear audio, and features an integrated monitor mount to save valuable desktop real estate. The mount is like an alligator clip with a generous amount of give so it should fit onto any monitor regardless of how thin or thick it might be. The unit uses USB-C, but nicely includes a USB-A to USB-C adapter. This means it works equally well with your desktop or laptop, whether a USB-A tower or a MacBook Pro, ChromeBook or Microsoft Surface tablet or even an iPad or Android tablet.

Again, iTWire found the speaker bar gave pleasant, clear audio for music, videos, and voice. It has convenient volume and mute options at a press. The unit is light and portable and is great for travelling with, as well as for adding speakers for your static devices.

The Cyber Acoustics USB SP-2000 speakerphone retails for $US 69.99, and the Cyber Acoustics USB CA-2890 speaker bar retails for $US24.99.
