Tibco is the first integration vendor to offer support for AWS Lambda Serverless Compute, by creating Functions-as-a-Service (FaaS) in the Project Flogo open-source edge microservices framework.
According to Tibco, Flogo flows as functions are specifically designed to take advantage of the serverless capabilities offered by AWS Lambda, enabling the execution and scaling of functions with high availability and zero administration.
This is said to significantly reduce function development time to market and operating costs, and also provide portability across IoT edge devices or AWS Lambda without changes to application code.

“Integration has evolved to become an enabler of digital transformation, leading customers to seek support for modern, microservices-based application integration and dynamic, pay-as- you-go deployment options. Today, we are happy to announce, in collaboration with AWS, the availability of two cloud-native integration solutions to meet these needs,” said Tibco chief technology officer and executive vice-president for products and technology, Matt Quinn.
“This strategic collaboration enhances our current TIBCO Connected Intelligence offerings and enables our customers to meet their digital transformation challenges head-on.”
