Saasu trials two-factor bank authentication in new release

By

The Saasu cloud-based accounting system now supports the use of two-factor authentication for accessing bank accounts.

The latest changes to the Saasu cloud-based accounting software includes provision for two-factor authentication systems including tokens and secret questions when accessing bank accounts.

The feature is still regarded as a 'public beta' so there's no guarantee that it will work with all online banking service. Saasu asked its customers to "let us know if yours isn’t working yet and we'll do our best to bring it online."

Other changes include inclusion of the Australian 2012/13 PAYG tax tables, and a revised 'to do' widget that now shows 25 overdue or outstanding activities (rather then overdue items plus those scheduled for the coming week). Reporting performance has been improved in some areas.

Saasu is being progressively internationalised, and the latest changes are support for letter-sized paper in templates, plus currency and VAT rate support for Dominica and Equador.

Saasu also noted that it has replaced its fleet of dual-core servers with 12-core hardware.
