Until 10 December, end-users purchasing FileMaker Pro 13 ($377) or FileMaker Pro 13 Advanced ($628) from the FileMaker Store will be able to download a second copy free of charge.
The full, education and non-profit versions are included in the offer, and if you don't need the second licence, it can be given someone else but not resold.
The offer is limited to one bonus licence per entity (person, household, company, etc), and to individual, full-priced purchases. So site licences or discount arrangements aren't included, for instance.
FileMaker Pro is database software for OS X and Windows that can be used to create solutions either from scratch or based on the starter solutions that come with the product.
These solutions can run under OS X, Windows or iOS.
While custom solutions can be created with FileMaker Pro 13, the Advanced edition includes more advanced development and customisation tools.
Up to five users can share a FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Pro Advanced database file at the same time (each user requires their own licence), but if more simultaneous users are required then a FileMaker Server licence ($1044) is required.
The Advanced version also allows web access.
