VIDEO Interview: Hyland CCO Ed McQuiston talks 2020 and plenty more


CCO Ed McQuiston joined iTWire TV to tell us about the November 11 Australia and APAC conference, held virtually as everything is in 2020, about Hyland in 2020 and its range of acquisitions, expanding its range of products and services, and plenty more.

The company serves "19,000 lifetime customers", and with over 3000+ employees across 30 office locations around the globe, serves more than half of 2019 Fortune 100 companies leveraging "Hyland's products and solutions".

Over this past year, Hyland has made some major acquisitions, and since founding in 1991, has gone from strength to strength over the last three decades, and with products like Onbase, Hyland Cloud and many more, Hyland targets big market segments with its products and services.

The company produces solutions for and provides content services for customers in Healthcare, Education, Financial Services, Government, Insurance, Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Transcript Processing, Contract Management, with capture solutions on offer and the Microsoft suite, too.

Hyland's flagship product is the enterprise content management (ECM) and process management software suite called OnBase. Applications of the suite are used in all the areas mentioned above, with the acquisitions only expanding Hyland's repertoire of technologies.

The company has its Hyland Community Live conference and virtual experience as an on-demand event, but on Wednesday, November 11, Hyland held a virtual conference for its Australian and APAC customers and partners as part of its annual conference event in this region.

COVID has naturally taken all conferences online for most of 2020, with a few sneaking in at the very beginning of the year, but very, very few in any kind of physical capacity due to the ongoing pandemic, and despite fantastic developments earlier this week, still no approved vaccine in large enough quantities that you can get immunised against for months yet.

"CommunityLIVE" brings together digital transformation enthusiasts "from around the world to learn how every department can work better, smarter and faster", with Hyland stating it "helps organizations meet today’s challenges through innovative technology, services and cloud-based solutions that support business agility into the future".

In the video interview embedded above and watchable at the the iTWire TV Youtube Channel, I introduced McQuiston, the Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of Hyland and welcomed him to the program.

We spoke about Hyland in 2020, and the latest developments and acquisitions that have happened this year.

We noted the existing global conference on demand stream but also the now held November 11 Australian conference to see what videos can be shared.

Ed explained what the Australian and APAC conference was about and that he was a keynote speaker, giving us a mini preview of what he'd be talking about.
