Syniti records software growth at 800% and appoints Marc Fenton as new head of delivery

COMPANY NEWS: Enterprise data management Syniti reported an 800% software growth in ANZ in the first half of 2021 compared to the same period last year.

Syniti says organisations in the region are accelerating digital transformation plans, driving an increase in demand for data-driven solutions and management.

“In a digital-first world, data is the most critical asset to any business, particularly in light of pressing demands from the global pandemic,” says Syniti vice president ANZ Frankie Steel.

“Digital transformation requires more than just a software upgrade. Syniti focuses on data outcomes as emphasis on data can improve productivity, reduce operating costs, improve cashflow and working capital, support business agility, and accelerate growth initiatives,” Steel says.

“What we are seeing from the market suggests that Syniti’s unique platform approach, focusing on metadata and re-use of data knowledge, allows organisations to effectively improve management of data regardless of what system it resides in. More companies recognise the need for high quality data and the right tools to drive business change,” Steel adds.

Syniti provides support to its customers and ensures successful end-to-end data management such as data migration, quality and governance, securing new organisations across ANZ.

Expanding business capabilities in ANZ
Syniti has also appointed Marc Fenton as the new head of delivery for ANZ. This appointment reaffirms Syniti’s commitment to strengthening its presence and supporting more organisations.

Fenton will set the strategic direction for delivery management, creating and implementing standards and processes, managing the ANZ team across a diverse portfolio of accounts, and working closely with its partners to implement Syniti’s solutions.

He will be essential in assisting organisations improve their operational efficiency and agility. He will help customers become more resilient and competitive by leveraging data as a key competitive advantage.

“Data is a crucial component of any digital transformation journey. It is no surprise that most transformation initiatives fail owing to data-related issues. With only 30 percent of digital transformation initiatives in ANZ succeeding in 2020, there is a significant opportunity for Syniti to help organisations harness the true value of their data,” states Fenton.

Marc joins Syniti with more than 25 years of experience across a variety of IT and leadership roles at high profile organisations. These include consulting roles at Deloitte, Price Waterhouse Cooper, a general manager position at Rio Tinto where he was in charge of IT strategy and as-a-service contracts. Most recently, he was head of technology at AACo in Australia. He has led data-driven transformations that have yielded significant business results, increased customer satisfaction, and millions in cost savings.

A thriving partner ecosystem
Syniti is committed to developing a strong partner ecosystem within the ANZ market. This includes partnering with the main consulting and system integration partners to support developing their data practices and building capability on the Syniti Platform. It also includes Tech Data as our newly-appointed distributor for Syniti Data Replication, which is sold as a stand-alone data replication capability.

“Our partner eco-system is key to long term and sustainable growth. We understand that customers often want a single point of responsibility for transformation projects, we are enabling that by training and building capability on our platform. It also allows us to scale to meet the significant increase in demand we are seeing,” Steel says.

We are seeing that partners are starting to embed Syniti software into their core migration and data practices.
