VIDEO INTERVIEW: Workday's Adam Krebet talks customer scenarios, Workday Everywhere, engaging employee experiences and more

GUEST INTERVIEW: We haven't quite yet reached a "post-COVID" world, making the ability to work anywhere while engaging and gauging employee experiences for companies more important than ever, and as Adam Krebet explains, those are just two of the many features and benefits of the Workday ecosystem.

Workday. The company bills itself as a "leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resources, helping customers adapt and thrive in a changing world."

The company has applications for financial management, human resources, planning, spend management, and analytics, and naturally, Workday happily points out its solutions have been adopted by thousands of organisations around the world and across industries – from medium-sized businesses to more than 50% of the Fortune 500.

One such example is Aurecon, which has embarked on a journey with Workday solutions in finance, HR and beyond.

I interviewed three of its top executives who are unified in working together as the architects and enablers of digital transformation for, and within, the entire organisation, helping to continue Aurecon's leadership globally, with that video interview here.

Workday itself has also been succeeding, having last announced Q3 fiscal results that saw a 20% increase in total revenues and a 21% increase on subscription revenues compared with the same period a year earlier, and will announce its fiscal 2022 Q4 results at the end of the month.

It also sees nearly 50% of the 2021 NRF Top 100 Retailers having selected Workday to "maximise their retail operations" to bring financial and operational data together for a "single source of truth", to better plan, execute and analyse, and to optimise the workforce and elevate the employee experience.

So, to find out more on Workday's latest developments, and what it means for Workday's customers and the employees of those customers, I spoke with Workday's Solution Consulting Manager, Adam Krebet in a video interview which is embedded below, after which is a summary of the topics we spoke about. 

  • I started by introducing and welcoming Adam, and asked him to recap what Workday started doing in 2005, and what Workday offers to the market today.

  • Adam then took us through the latest technologies and developments that have come from Workday in the past 12 months.

  • Next, we spoke about the employee experience, with Workday having launched "Workday Peakon Employee Voice," which Adam discussed in more detail, and what this allows Workday to offer from a technology point of view to help customers provide a more engaging employee experience.

  • When then discussed Workday Everywhere - what it is and how it works.

  • COVID saw a great deal of digital acceleration. Now with the Omicron strain, COVID is still with us, so how did COVID accelerate the plans, features, benefits, and capabilities of Workday for itself and its customers?

  • Adam shared some customer success stories in Australia, and explained what else was happening at Workday that we should know about.

  • I then asked Adam to share a memory of his first computer, to tell us a bit more about his history in the world of tech, great advice he has received in life, and his final message to iTWire viewers and readers, and to Workday's current and future customers and partners.
