Cloud Assess goes to UK

Queensland software company Cloud Assess expands its online solution to the UK to help businesses accelerate workforce skills development to meet labour demand.

Cloud Assess claims it experienced growth during the pandemic when lockdowns forced training providers and training-reliant businesses to shift their processes online.

According to the company, UK is experiencing labour shortages, prompting businesses to look at new ways to maximise and expand their workforce.

Cloud Assess CEO Rob Bright says the pandemic had supercharged demand for digital learning and training. The global online learning market is projected to be worth US$1 trillion ($1.4 trillion) by 2028.

“The economic imperative for businesses across the world to continue evolving and streamlining how they train, upskill and reskill their workforce has never been stronger.”

‘’If employers can’t recruit the talent they need in a tight global labour market, they need to maximise the talent they have by streamlining and automating processes, including training, to free up and focus human capital on the mission critical work of their business,” Bright says.

Broadband technology, next generation mobile networks, and responsive website design had revolutionised online learning, Bright says.

‘’For millennials who’ve grown up with YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok, online learning and training needs to be just as intuitive and visually engaging as these platforms,’’ he says.

“It also needs to be accessible on the handheld smart devices learners and workers are using every day to socialise, bank, and date.”

Bright notes this is important for Australia’s hands-on ‘deskless’ workers, referring to employees working in a mine site, warehouse, hospital, hairdressing salon, or a childhood centre.

Cloud Assess has been supporting portfolio of organisations – from major Australian training providers to companies including global brand McDonalds and Australian rail company Pacific National – to deliver online training and assessment for the past 10 years.

In 2020, Cloud Assess’ online solution, a virtual training hub, made it easy to streamline and provide accessible training and assessment to learners in the accredited training industry and for workplace skills development.
