Process management and automation vendor Nintex has updated Nintex Workflow Cloud with additional functionality.

Nintex Workflow Cloud has several new features including workflow tracking, easier connection to external data sources, and an on-premises SQL connector.

My Nintex now provides process owners and workflow participants with enhanced insights and visibility into in-process workflows, allowing progress tracking of outstanding approvals and decisions.

Data from external systems of record can be used in Nintex Workflow Cloud forms to improve the information available to end-users.

The Nintex Gateway SQL Connector brings additional support for Microsoft SQL Server. It allows the adding, viewing or updating data; querying a table or view; and executing a stored procedure from any on-premises SQL database.

The AI-powered PDF form converter turns static PDFs into interactive digital forms. Fillable and non-fillable PDFs are supported, and the generated forms can be customised using Nintex Form Designer.

On the security side, Nintex has received an independent, exception-free SOC 2 Type 2 report on security controls for its cloud automation platform Nintex Workflow Cloud, and exception-free SOC 2 Type 2 reports on security controls for Nintex Promapp and Nintex Drawloop DocGen.

In addition, Nintex Workflow Cloud is now available from a Canadian data centre, and Nintex Workflow Cloud for Government has achieved FedRAMP In Process designation.

"Public and private sector organisations are looking to drive further efficiencies across their operations with automation software," said Nintex chief product officer Neal Gottsacker.

"With the ease and power of Nintex Workflow Cloud, information technology and ops professionals as well as business analysts, across departments like HR, sales, marketing, finance and legal, are empowered to improve simple to sophisticated business processes with the platform's visual drag-and-drop workflow and forms designer – making the process of automating work fast and secure."
