Software intelligence company Dynatrace is adding features to its platform's release validation capabilities.

The enhancements will automatically deliver user experience validation and user experience assurance at every stage of the software development lifecycle, according to the company.

Automatically incorporating user experience insights such as application availability, performance, and feature engagement means DevOps and site reliability engineering (SRE) teams can continuously evaluate their applications against specific, measurable, and achievable service level objectives.

"Ensuring our applications exceed our users' expectations is critical to our business success, and Dynatrace is key to our ability to achieve this," said Park 'N Fly senior director of information technology Ken Schirrmacher.

"The platform automatically surfaces user experience insights at every stage of the development cycle, which is a gamechanger for our teams. This provides instant, continuous confirmation that our software hits the mark. It has allowed us to ensure the highest quality user experience and release new features and functionality at the speed our customers demand, without sacrificing the quality of service."

According to Dynatrace, its Davis AI engine takes data from simulated software testing processes that mimic real user engagement and end-to-end transactions and from other sources to deliver instant and precise answers about users' interactions with application.

"Without an actionable understanding of the user experience, DevOps and SRE teams can't meet the demand to accelerate innovation, maintain software quality and security, and deliver competitive digital services," said Dynatrace senior vice president of product management Steve Tack.

"This latest enhancement to Dynatrace automates time-consuming release validation processes and delivers immediate and precise insights into how users will experience an application once it's live. Combining this functionality with the platform's extensive integrations with key DevSecOps tools enables teams to drive higher throughput, ensure the highest performance and security standards, and innovate with confidence to ensure a competitive edge."

The new capabilities are planned to be generally available by the end of 3Q22.
