Oper8 teams with NEXTDC on colocation services deal

By

Oper8 has selected NEXTDC’s national data centre network for colocation services to provide its customers with complete, end-to-end IT solutions and access to secure, high speed networking across Australia and New Zealand through the virtual connectivity services on AXONVX.

Mike Andrea, Oper8 managing director, says expanding its colocation offering with NEXTDC has enabled the company’s customers to host infrastructure in any of NEXTDC’s data centres under one nationally standardised contract and service-level agreement.

And, as a member of the NEXTDC partner programme, the Queensland-based IT service provider Oper8 is also able to offer its customers subscriptions for ONEDC advanced management DCIM-as-a-Service.

“We were looking for data centre capabilities to extend our service offerings and NEXTDC has enabled us to do just that. Not only does AXONVX provide our customers with higher speed connectivity to our cloud storage platform, Elev8, we now have the ability to resell AXONVX as point-to-point connectivity,” Andrea said.

"This means customers connect to our back-up and replication solution in real-time with zero latency in retrieving their data. On top of this, we’ve increased customer opportunities for infrastructure consolidation with ONEDC – we’ve got the ability to offer the right service mix so our customers can keep their network within Australia and use insights into their data to make business-critical decisions.”

Adam Scully, group executive – sales and marketing, NEXTDC, says the rising demand for quality cloud hosting services and ongoing drive for more storage makes it essential for service providers like Oper8 to access “flexible technologies that deliver as-a-service models to customers”.
